About Lemon Frost™ Bare Root Climbing Rose
'KORsilu15' Lemon Frost™ PP 36,338
🌹 Introduced: 2027 by Star® Roses and Plants
🌹 Rose Type: Climbing Rose
🍋 A cloud of fragrant lemon-yellow flowers on a vigorous, disease-resistant climber that's much more manageable than a traditional Lady Banks rose.
Lemon Frost™ brings a fresh new look to the yellow climbing rose.
Rather than producing a handful of enormous flowers, this vigorous climber creates abundant clusters of smaller, bright lemon-yellow blooms, covering the plant with a cheerful display of color.
And they're fragrant.
The flowers carry a sweet fragrance and repeat throughout the season, giving gardeners more than just one spectacular spring show.
Lemon Frost™ was selected not only for its flowers, but also for its healthy growth and strong disease resistance. Its more compact climbing habit makes it especially appealing for gardeners who love the romantic, flower-covered look of a Lady Banks rose but don't necessarily have room for one.

🍋 A More Manageable Lady Banks Look
One of the most interesting things about Lemon Frost™ is how Star® Roses and Plants describes its role in the garden:
Think of it as a more compact alternative to a Lady Banks rose.
Lady Banks roses are famous for becoming absolutely covered in clusters of small flowers—but they can also become enormous plants and typically put on their major display in spring.
Lemon Frost™ offers gardeners a similar romantic, flower-covered climbing effect in a more manageable plant, while adding another major advantage:
It repeats throughout the season.
That makes Lemon Frost™ especially exciting for smaller gardens where gardeners want maximum flower power from the vertical space they have available.
💛 Why Grace Rose Farm Loves It
It's like sunshine climbing your arbor.
We love the completely different look Lemon Frost™ brings to the climbing rose category.
Instead of a few oversized flowers spaced along long canes, Lemon Frost™ produces clusters upon clusters of smaller yellow blooms, creating that dreamy, flower-covered effect gardeners want when they imagine a rose climbing over an arbor.
Then add fragrance.
Then add repeat bloom.
Then add excellent disease resistance.
Suddenly this isn't simply another yellow climbing rose—it's a rose that could be incredibly useful in real gardens.
For gardeners who have always admired the look of Lady Banks but thought, Where on earth would I put that thing?, Lemon Frost™ may be the answer.
🌿 Growing & Care Recommendations
Planting Site: Choose a sunny location with fertile, well-drained soil. At least 6 hours of direct sunlight will encourage the strongest flowering.
Support: Provide a sturdy arbor, fence, pillar, pergola, or trellis as the plant matures.
Training: Start training the young canes early. Whenever possible, guide the main canes horizontally or diagonally rather than allowing everything to grow straight upward. This encourages more flowering laterals along the length of the canes.
Watering: Water deeply after planting and maintain consistent moisture while your bare-root rose establishes its root system.
Pruning: Avoid heavily pruning a young climbing rose. Give Lemon Frost™ time to establish its framework of main canes before beginning more selective pruning.
Established Plants: Once mature, remove dead or damaged growth and selectively remove older, less productive canes when necessary.
Cold Climate Care: In colder portions of its range, protect the crown with an insulating layer of mulch after the ground begins to freeze.
