About Joyride™ Bare Root Rose Bush
Rosa ‘WEKnohagolu’ — Joyride™
🧬 Breeder: Christian Bédard, Weeks Roses
🌹 Introduced: 2027
🌹 Rose Type: Hybrid Tea
☀️ Clear yellow blooms kissed with soft pink, classic Hybrid Tea form, and a delightful Tea fragrance make Joyride™ one beautiful ride.
Put the petal to the metal with Joyride™!
This cheerful new Hybrid Tea from breeder Christian Bédard produces beautifully formed clear yellow flowers with a soft pink blush along the outer petals. The blooms hold their color exceptionally well, maintaining their sunny disposition rather than quickly fading in the garden.
Each approximately 4-inch flower combines the classic high-centered form of a Hybrid Tea with a softly cupped appearance as it opens. Strong stems make the flowers especially appealing for cutting, while a moderate classic Tea fragrance gives you another reason to bring them indoors.
Growing to approximately 4½ feet tall and 3 feet wide, Joyride™ has enough presence to make an impact without becoming overwhelming in the garden.

🧬 A Little Rose Pedigree
Joyride™ comes from an interesting cross:
The Nora Virginia Rose × Happy Go Lucky
Breeder Christian Bédard combined these roses to create a Hybrid Tea with the bright, joyful coloring its name suggests.
The result is a rose that takes traditional yellow in a more romantic direction. Rather than remaining solid yellow, the outer petals develop a soft pink blush, giving each flower a beautiful two-tone appearance.
Joyride™ is part of the 2027 Weeks Roses introductions, making it an exciting new choice for gardeners who love being among the first to grow a new rose.
💛 Why Grace Rose Farm Loves It
This rose just looks happy.
There really isn't a better way to describe Joyride™.
The clear yellow flowers feel like sunshine, while that unexpected pink blush around the outside of the bloom gives them personality and dimension. We especially love that the color holds well, so the flowers maintain their cheerful appearance as they mature.
And unlike a beautiful rose that's only meant to be admired from across the garden, Joyride™ practically begs to be cut.
Its strong stems, 4-inch blooms, classic Hybrid Tea form, and moderate Tea fragrance make it a wonderful choice for gardeners who dream about walking outside and cutting their own bouquet.
Sunny, fragrant, and just a little flirty—this is one Joyride™ we're happy to take.
🌿 Growing & Care Recommendations
Planting Site: Choose a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.
Spacing: Allow approximately 3 feet between plants for mature growth and good air circulation.
Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and maintain consistent moisture while your bare-root rose develops its new root system.
Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to remove weak or damaged growth and encourage vigorous new flowering stems.
Cutting: Joyride™ is particularly well suited to the cutting garden. Harvest flowers as the buds begin to open for beautiful garden-grown bouquets.
Feeding: Begin feeding after your newly planted bare-root rose has established active growth. Continue according to your rose fertilizer's recommendations through the growing season.
Cold Climate Care: In colder portions of its range, protect the crown with an insulating layer of mulch after the ground begins to freeze.
