Golden Showers is a vigorous climbing rose bred by Dr. Walter E. Lammerts and introduced in the U.S. by Germain’s in 1956. Its semi-double golden-yellow blooms open in generous clusters, often with a soft honey fragrance, and age to a creamy hue. The flowers repeat continuously from late spring through frost, carried on nearly thornless stems with glossy dark green foliage. With a tall, upright habit reaching 8-10 ft (spreading 3-6 ft), Golden Showers™ is ideal for trellises, walls, or as a dramatic vertical accent.
