About Beverly Anne Clay Bare Root Rose Bush
Rosa ‘JALcitrus’ — Beverly Anne Clay
🧬 Breeder: Brad Jalbert, Canada
🌹 Introduced: 2020
🌹 A luminous peach Grandiflora with blush-pink accents, long cutting stems, exceptional disease resistance, and an irresistible fresh citrus fragrance.
Beverly Anne Clay is a gorgeous Grandiflora rose from Canadian breeder Brad Jalbert, combining the romance of softly colored flowers with the vigor and resilience modern gardeners love. Its blooms open in beautiful soft peach to warm apricot, glowing more warmly toward the center and finished with delicate blush-pink touches along the outer petals.
But you'll want to get close to this rose. Beverly Anne Clay is very fragrant, releasing a wonderfully fresh, strong citrus perfume. Long stems make those fragrant peach blooms especially lovely for cutting and bringing indoors.
The plant grows upright and strong, reaching approximately 4–5 feet tall, and flowers repeatedly from spring until frost. Its combination of fragrance, long cutting stems, repeat bloom, and excellent health makes Beverly Anne Clay as hardworking as it is beautiful.

📖 The Story Behind Beverly Anne Clay
This rose comes with a particularly meaningful story.
Canadian rose breeder Brad Jalbert introduced Beverly Anne Clay in 2020, naming it for a cherished longtime family friend. According to Jalbert, Beverly Anne Clay belonged to the first family to hire him into the plant business.
That personal connection makes this more than simply another beautiful Jalbert introduction. Its glowing peach flowers, blush-pink details, and uplifting citrus perfume became a living tribute to someone who played a meaningful role in the breeder's life and career.
💛 Why Grace Rose Farm Loves It
Beverly Anne Clay checks so many of our boxes: fragrance, unusual color, long stems, repeat flowering, and impressive garden health.
We especially love the coloring. The flowers aren't simply peach—the warmer glow toward the heart of the bloom and soft pink touches at the petal tips give them beautiful dimension. Then there's that strong citrus fragrance, which makes cutting a few long stems for the house almost irresistible.
It's also a rose with a story, and those are often the roses we treasure most. Knowing that Beverly Anne Clay was named to honor someone who helped give Brad Jalbert his start in the plant world makes this variety feel particularly special.
