April Love Potted Rose Bush

About April Love Potted Rose Bush

Rosa ‘CLEthor’ — April Love™
🧬 Breeder: John Clements
🌹 Introduced: 2004
🌹 A romantic soft-pink shrub rose with sumptuous, cupped blooms and an intoxicating fruity-myrrh fragrance.

April Love is the kind of rose that makes you want to linger in the garden just a little longer. Its soft, sweet pink flowers are elegantly cupped and very full, giving each bloom the lush, romantic appearance of an old-fashioned garden rose.

But its fragrance may be what makes April Love truly unforgettable. The flowers carry an exceptionally strong fruity-myrrh perfume, creating a rose that's every bit as beautiful to experience as it is to see.

April Love is also a generous bloomer, producing flowers continually throughout the growing season against rich, dark green foliage. Growing approximately 4–5 feet tall and wide, it develops into a substantial, beautifully rounded shrub that can become a romantic centerpiece in the garden.

💗 A Rose Made for Meaningful Moments

There's something especially lovely about the name April Love™.

With its romantic pink flowers and beautiful perfume, this rose makes a meaningful choice for celebrating an anniversary, birthday, loved one, or special memory connected to the month of April.

It's the kind of rose that can become more than another plant in the garden—it can mark a person, a date, or a story worth remembering year after year.

💛 Why Grace Rose Farm Loves It

April Love™ looks like romance and smells absolutely incredible.

We love roses that invite you to experience them with more than your eyes, and April Love™ does exactly that. Its layers of soft pink petals create that coveted old-fashioned look, while its powerful fruity-myrrh fragrance gives you every reason to stop and smell the roses.

We also love its continual flowering habit. This isn't a rose that gives you one beautiful moment and calls it a season. April Love™ keeps producing those lush pink flowers, creating a substantial 4–5 foot flowering shrub with plenty of presence in the garden.

And with a name like April Love™, it's especially beautiful planted to celebrate someone—or something—you never want to forget.

🌿 Growing & Care Recommendations

Planting Site: Choose a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.

Spacing: Allow approximately 4–5 feet for April Love™ to develop its mature size.

Watering: Water deeply and consistently, particularly while the plant is becoming established.

Containers: April Love™ can be grown in containers, but remember that this is a substantial shrub at maturity. Choose a large container that provides plenty of room for root development.

Pruning: Prune as needed to maintain the shrub's shape and encourage healthy new growth.

Garden Placement: Consider planting April Love™ near a walkway, patio, garden bench, or another area where you can fully enjoy its exceptional fragrance.
