Dear Friends,
We are so glad to be back in action!! It’s been a long winter with its challenges, but the promise of spring and a new opportunity to grow roses for you has kept us going. We will begin cutting and start shipping for events on April 17th, and per your requests, we are opening our website for preorders this week. It’s been a really warm winter so our roses already have buds, however, it’s too soon for them to bloom, so we’re disbudding our plants to make their first bloom happen in April. As always, Distant Drums will bloom first, followed by the rest shortly after!
Rose Farm Experience May 16 - 19 for Floral Designers
We are opening our farm to our clients this spring. Find out more about this free event and register on our website here!
New Roses Available!
In addition to planting more of our most popular varietals such as Lichfield Angel, Tranquillity, Koko Loko, Stephen Rulo, and Honey Dijon, we’ve added thousands of beautiful new roses! I believe red is making a comeback, so Ingrid Bergman, a deep red massive bloomer, found a home in our fields. She’s going to be so gorgeous for fall weddings! We’ve also added more blush, peach, yellow and pink varieties. If there’s a rose you’d like us to grow, you can let us know by replying to this email!
To Our LA Clients
We will be at the LA Flower Market Monday through Saturday this year! We’ll be delivering your orders on Wednesday's primarily, and will have roses available the other days as well. If you’re a florist who might like to work at our flower market booth, please email Ryan. We will be selling bunches there and offering bouquets to the general public, so you’d get to make those!
We've Gone 100% Organic!
I wrote a blog about why we’ve chosen to move to a totally organic growing environment and why it should matter to you! We are pursuing Organic Certification and will tell you more as we get through the process. This is something so important for our industry and we deeply appreciate your support as we commit ourselves to organic growing!
Are you holding a workshop and want us to sponsor you?
If you’re holding a workshop this spring or summer and would like our garden roses donated, please email Abbyand let us know the date, how many attendees you expect, whether you’re teaching other florists or the public, and what your workshop is going to teach. We are selecting ten floral design workshops to sponsor and will donate 100% of the roses needed for your workshop if chosen!
Thank You!
To kick off our 2020 season, we’re offering 15% off this week and next for April preorders with code WELCOMEBACK. If you have a credit with us from last November when a killing frost hit our farm, Ryan will be reaching out to you via email in the coming two weeks so you can get your first orders to us. We look forward to seeing the beauty you create with our garden roses this year and cannot thank you enough for being a part of our farm’s story!
