The Making of the Country Living Cover - Grace Rose Farm

The Making of the Country Living Cover

Article: The Making of the Country Living Cover

When you line up a shoot as big and exciting as our Country Living  cover shoot, the pressure is really on! Everything has to be impeccably timed; all of our roses had to be blooming in abundance, we had to have some picturesque fields left uncut and in full bloom, and most importantly, we needed the weather to cooperate. Of course I wanted everything to be perfect, and when a friend sent me a picture of this farm truck, that was the moment it all came together for me. I imagined it's bed filled with buckets of roses, and could even picture our dogs running alongside it! Wouldn't you know, that very image came to life for our shoot and ended up making the cover!

I can't even tell you how exciting this is for our little farm. We're trying not to let the fame go to Buddy's head! I wanted to share a peek at the behind the scenes of the cover shoot, and reveal a little surprise. The truck was actually red! Oh, the magic of post editing!

A huge THANK YOU to the Country Living team, especially Cate Geiger who styled the covers, as well as photographer extraordinaire, David Tsay! The May issue features “Stop and Smell the Roses” an all-about-roses collection of the prettiest and chicest gifts, decor and lifestyle pieces! Stay tuned here on the blog as we bring the feature to life and share some of our favorite products in more detail over the coming weeks.

If you'd like to fill your own truck (or kitchen table) with gorgeous buckets of the same garden roses featured on the cover, our Blush Classic and Blush Grande bouquets are the perfect choice!
