Catherine Mermet

Regular price

A stunner when bred by Guillot in 1869 and still rarely outdone, Catherine Mermet is excellent for vase and a bit hardier than most Tea roses. A hot ticket as a florist’s rose back in 1894, she does well as a garden shrub with beautiful scrolled buds opening to a classic early hybrid tea melange of shades ranging from pale flesh, silver pink, ballet pink and white. A rose that has been cultivated and admired for more than 150 years is surely deserving of a place in every garden. She grows to be a large healthy shrub and a bloom machine once she is mature.
